G.I. Joe Kre-O. Oh how I hate to love you, but yet I do. I honestly think the reveals at Toy Fairs plus the Alley-Vipers prompted me to purchase these. Want to see some pics? Click past the jump and take a gander!
When I stumbled upon Kre-O G.I. Joe today at Toys R Us, I immediately looked for the blind bags. When they were no where in sight, I pulled up the Toysrus.com listing and took the TRU number to the service desk. A super helpful employee looked them up and found they had none. But, one of the other nearby stores had 24 on the floor! Needless to say 15 minutes later I was rummaging through the display. (I am lucky enough to have 3 TRU's within 15 minutes from me and a fourth 30 mins away.) Now the code list is the important piece of this puzzle. Without you might get stuck with doubles... of the wrongs ones! The code is highlighted in the picture below! (I made notes as to what number of troop builders I found per case. )
(edit: I ran across another case with different numbers. Looks like there are a few variations with quantity per box.)
23401 75 Alley Viper (3/case)23401 76 Cobra Ninja Viper (3/case)
23401 77 Cobra Trooper (2/case)
23401 78 Crimson Guard (2/case)
23401 79 Cobra Axe Ninja
23401 80 Kim Arashikage (Jinx)
23401 82 Quick Kick
23401 83 Rock-N-Roll
23401 84 Scarlett
23401 85 Adventure Team Commander
23401 86 Torpedo
Thankfully I was able to avoid the Adventure Team Commander as I care not for him. Older GI Joe collectors may find him interesting, but I apparently am not that old. I was also able to grab troops builders. My god troop building is a disease!
Despite having stickers to apply, (ugh I really dislike stickers) I think the little add-ons cloth and string are pretty neat. I am all-in-all happy and scared of GI Joe Kre-O at this point. I had far to much fun with the kids putting these together. My 3 year old daughter was putting them together no problem. Ages 6 to 12, whatever!
