Leaked Avengers Storybook Shows Frozen Cap, Loki's Ascention

The storybook might have already been pulled by Disney, but we have scans!  See what's up after the jump:

These are taken from a storybook that will be sold to young kids.  From the images, it tells us much about the beginning of the film, but fails to give us anything beyond Act I.  After the pictures, read more to learn what we know along with pretty detailed discussion about the film's beginning.

NOTE: THESE ARE SPOILERS, so tread at your own risk!!

The Avengers Storybook #1
Here's the cover for the storybook.

Photo #19
Here's a very telling page about Loki, Hawkeye, and Dr. Selvig.

The Tessaract and Gamma Radiation:
Nick Fury explains to Bruce Banner that the main reason they need him is that the Tessaract is leaking gamma radiation.  Obviously, Banner is the foremost expert and all S.H.I.E.L.D. wants is to locate the Tessaract.  Fury tells Banner: "As soon as the Tessaract is back in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands you can go.  I'm not going to keep you here."
Loki at a German Museum:
Loki, at the height of his power with the Tessaract, walks through a German museum and begins to toy with the people there by making them bow to him.  When one man refuses, Loki fires a bolt of energy at him, which is deflected by Captain America's shield.  "Ah, the super soldier from the great war," Loki sneered.  "It wasn't that great," Captain America replied.  "Mine will be," Loki grinned.  Iron Man appears and the three begin to fight, with Loki eventually surrendering to them.
Thor takes Loki:
While transporting Loki in the Quinjet, a lightning storm begins.  Captain America sees that Loki is frightened by it.  "What's the matter, you scared of lightning?"  Loki replies: "I'm not overly fond of what follows."  Just as in the trailer, Thor lands on top of the Quinjet, then proceeds to break in, fight off Cap and Iron Man and steals Loki. This matches scenes from the first preview, where we see Stark winded and Cap in the background after an obvious battle
The Avengers first fight:
Another important connection to the previews is strengthened by the book:  Iron Man and Cap will engage Thor in an effort to re-take Loki.  In the book, Iron Man rockets out of the Quinjet after Thor takes Loki.  Cap grabs a parachute and jumps out afer them.  Cap eventually stops the fight, and get Thor to help force Loki to cooperate; in exchange, Thor will return Loki to Asgard after S.H.I.E.L.D. is done with him.
Loki and Banner:
As Loki is locked away in a large glass-encased cage, he taunts Bruce Banner, saying, "This wasn't meant for me, you know.  It was constructed for someone angrier and greener."

The pages do tell much about the first act, but it's clear that Joss Whedon has created a lot of playfulness in the characters, leading many to believe that all the worry we've been ingesting might be for not.  Thanks to our contacts for getting assuaging our fears!
