Found: Star Wars Vintage 2012 Wave 1.5

OnePerCase's very own Jason managed to find the latest Star Wars Vintage 2012 Wave 1.5 hanging out on the pegs of a Target here in Northern California this morning, and was kind enough to pass them along to me. These have just shown up on eBay in the past couple of days, so it was very exciting to see that they're already hitting retail as well. For those unfamiliar, Star Wars Vintage 2012 Wave 1.5 consists of five characters from Return of the Jedi pulled from deleted scenes found on the blu-ray release. In case you don't believe me, look at the sticker on the bubble! More pictures after the jump.

Yes, we really found Star Wars Vintage 2012 Wave 1.5 at retail. I know how things go out there with you skeptics, so there's a nifty receipt photo for you to look at. I'm also going to be real, the receipt doesn't really prove much. Not at Target, anyways. All it really tells you is that five Star Wars Vintage figures were purchased. I suppose you'll have to take the leap of faith to accept that it was really Wave 1.5.

I haven't had a chance to open any of these up, but first impressions, it's another great looking set of figures. The artwork on the cards is amazing. Initially, I was a little disappointed at the lack of actual photos, but the artwork turned out fantastic. I've been more than happy with the Star Wars Vintage line (as you may have noticed). Great sculpt, great articulation, great artwork... a little heavy on the price, but at least you're (generally) getting a good quality product for your money.  These are starting to hit retail (obviously) so get out there and get hunting!

VC87 - Luke Skywalker (Lightsaber Construction)

VC88 - Princes Leia (Sandstorm Outfit)

VC89 - Lando Calrissian (Sandstorm Outfit)

VC90 - Rebel Pilot (Mon Calamari)

VC91 - Colonel Cracken (Millenium Falcon Crew)

So what do you think of this wave? Can't wait to hunt it down? Couldn't care less? Hopefully these start popping up in decent numbers soon, but they are packed one per case, (yes, onepercase) so they may prove a little difficult. If you're worried about finding them, they're available for pre-order on BBTS and other fine online toy retailer sites.
