Digital River FTW?!?
Are the winds of change blowing over the Digital River Styx? I have to admit, yesterday's sale was about the easiest I've had to date. I logged on, got my Stinkor and Snake Mountain stands, and I only hit the white screen of death once, and it was for 10 seconds or less. As if that wasn't shocking enough, I got my shipping notice this morning, less than 24 hours after ordering! I'm a firm believer that if you're going to complain about bad service, you should also give kudos for good service. While I'm impressed, I am (understandably) weary, given all the past issues. Perhaps this was just a remarkably unpopular month. I won't be convinced until my correct order shows up in good shape and in a timely fashion. But for now, job well done Digital River. Let's hope this is the start of something good, and not simply a fluke.

Review: Luke Skywalker (Hoth Outfit) : TVC 95
To those that know me, it might seem strange that I have been reviewing Star Wars figures yet alone buying them. I do love Star Wars, really I do. It will always have that soft spot living in my heart for Jedi and HOTH! I love Hoth stuff. Always have. So Luke here is a perfect addition to my slowly growing Hoth stuff. I don't have anywhere to show it off, but I do have a couple of AT-AT's that I would love to display some day. And Luke, dear Luke. You ride a Taun Taun so well...

Marvel Universe Avengers Light-Up Base Wave 2 - Black Panther
Of all the figure choices in the Toys R Us light-up base series, this one is the most out of left field, since it's basically the only character from this entire exclusive series not appearing in the Avengers movie. But it’s a welcome choice. Finally, a respectable Black Panther in the Marvel Universe line.

Marvel Universe Avengers Light-Up Base Wave 2 - Captain America (Rogers)
We got the Bucky Cap figure in the first wave of light-up bases, so it only makes sense that we also get the classic Steve Rogers Captain America. And finally, Hasbro get’s the classic MU Cap right!
